"As everyone knows, you can buy a new car many different places. What I think is more important than where you buy the car, is where you can get good service and support if something goes wrong, even if it’s a warranty item. The same holds true for a motor scooter or motorcycle The reason I selected Victory BMW for my purchase of a Vespa motor scooter and two BMW motorcycles was because of the service. Let’s back up to February 2006. I purchased a 2006 Vespa scooter because my wife thought it would be good choice for her to ride to work. After I bought the scooter, there was an electrical maintenance issue that came up, that kept running my battery down. Victory BMW could not at once determine what was the cause of this condition. Did Clint Barnett, the Vespa technician, tell me that he couldn’t fix it? No, he did what every good dealer and technician does when a maintenance item exists that may be puzzling to them. They contacted both locations of Vespa Technical personnel in the US as well as checking online to see if another Vespa dealership had experienced the same electrical issue. Clint found out that there was another similar maintenance issue as mine on a scooter in Texas. It was determined, that a wire located internally in a wire bundle, was shorting out against the frame of the scooter. The funny part was that it would take a couple of days of riding for this condition to exist and then run my battery down. Based on that maintenance support experience, and my wife’s decision not to ride the scooter to school, I decided to trade my scooter in on a BMW motorcycle. This spring I decided to purchase a 2008 R1200R motorcycle. This was the perfect bike for me to ride to work each day. When I took it in for my 600 mile checkup, the first person that I saw was Ty Hibbard. Since I had been to the dealership a few times in the past, I knew that Ty was new to the dealership. But, the first impression that I received from Ty was very positive and impressive. The first person you see for service represents the dealership. In this case, an outstanding impression. After my 600 mile inspection was completed, I had a couple of questions concerning my new bike. I asked Ty to see the technician that serviced my bike. I was introduced to Josiah Brennan. Josiah answered every one of my questions as well as giving me a few tips concerning the ownership of a new bike. Since the technician also represent the dealership, and since Josiah gave me more than I paid for on a 600 mile checkup, I left Victory BMW impressed again with their service support. "Re: Letter of Appreciation Dear Rick: I just wanted to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for several of your employees who performed well beyond the normal call of duty. The individuals of which I speak are Jim Sage, Service Manager; Ian Jeffrey, Service Advisor & Josiah Brennan, Service Technician. On 11 NOV 07, the battery went dead on my K1200LT motorcycle. On 13 NOV 07, I coordinated with Mr. Jeffrey who informed me that the battery could be replaced on 14 NOV 07, after I got off work. This meant that his service team would have to stay later than usual to complete the battery replacement. On 14 NOV 07, I responded to your dealership & met with Ian, Jim & Josiah. They quickly determined that my battery had developed a bad cell & would no longer hold a charge. They replaced my battery with a new one. This repair meant that all three of them had to stay about an extra hour and a half past their normal quitting time. I was truly impressed with the dedication to service that your service team displayed. Thanks to your service team, I was back on the road with only one trip to your dealership. The level of service demonstrated by your service team is to be commended. Thank you again for your service. "

" OK, so I have to admit.... the machine (my 2005 R1150R) pretty much sold itself. Which is to say, I knew better than to even go in and look before I was ready for the exciting adventure of motorcycle ownership. And what an entrance I have made. Such an efficient and beautiful piece of engineering. But I also really have to give credit to CJ, Tom, and Stephanie, all of which helped me a great deal. They helped me by not putting me in an uncomfortable position by trying to force me to buy the bike before I was ready. They helped me by making sure I found cost effective accesories to increase my safety and comfort on the road. They encouraged me to make sure it was the right thing for me. The right bike for my use, the right time for the bike. When I said the available bikes were a little above what I wanted to pay, instead of trying to pressure me to go outside my comfort zone, they told me they would help me by keeping their eye out for a different bike that fit my budget better. Of course, then I rode it, and the budget suddenly took second place (and a distant one at that). And I have to tell you, about a month and a half and 1200 miles later, I couldn't be happier that it did. Cheers, guys. Keep up the good work. "

"I've had a great experience from Victory BMW all the way around including my purchase of a 2006 K1200S (which by the way is the most incredible bike I've ever ridden in the 40+ years that I've been riding motorcycles), but I just had such a good experience yesterday, that I had to call the general manager to tell him about it. I was ordering parts over the phone with Mike in the parts department. He told me upfront that the special tool I was trying to order wasn't even in his computer software and that most special tools that BMW makes are not available to the general public. But these facts didn't sway him in trying to get the tool I needed...he told me he would call BMW directly to see if he could get it for me and that he would call me back in a couple of hours. Well, much to my delight, he DID call me back in LESS than two hours and said that he could get my tool. I asked him if I could put a rush on it as I wanted as little down-time as possible while waiting for the tool...he checked it out, and sure enough, I could pay a few bucks extra to get it quicker. Mike's attitude is what REALLY impressed me...he could have just blown me off and said the tool wasn't available because it wasn't in his computer software. He could have also blown off the idea of quicker shipping so that he could go onto the next customer or just to simplify his day. It was VERY obvious that he really CARED that I get the best possible customer service! Thanks Mike!"

"While on a trip from So. Cal to Tucson, we got a flat tire on our K1200LT in the Arizona desert. After several calls for assistance, the only person willing to help was Clint at Victory BMW, almost 100 miles away. However, we couldn't be towed there before the shop would close. Clint agreed to meet us anyway. We arrived more than an hour after the shop had closed, but Clint and General Manager Rick Hall were waiting, as promised. Clint went over the bike and addressed a few other minor matters, though the tire would have to wait until the morning. We had booked a nearby hotel and graciously accepted their offer to drive us. In the morning, Clint gave us a ride back to the dealership to get our bike. We simply cannot say enough about Clint and Rick and their commitment to customer service. They were not the closest shop that could have come to our rescue, but they were the only one that did. And we are very thankful."

"I purchase a used K1200LT from Victory by phone in February '05. Rick Hall insured that I had the complete information and accurate details regarding the bike and the entire purchasing process. He quickly and clearly addressed any issues about the bike. Upon pick-up, minor damage was noted to the handle bar covering to the bike, easily undected by anyone. All money transfers had occured and it was my bike. Rick quickly replaced the part at no charge to me. Since I have owned the bike I have visited Victory once again, from Pensacola, FL. They act as if I bought a new bike, treat me with genuine interest and are helpful in anyway they can be.
